Heaven in Kitsilano – Winner of HAVAN 2023 Best Custom Home Under 1 Million
We’re delighted to announce that one of our recent projects was awarded the HAVAN 2023 Best Custom Home under 1 million. This modern custom home was designed for an active family and built to their specifications. We kept the client’s lifestyle front-of-mind throughout this project.
We divided the main floor into two zones: a substantial open kitchen, dining area and a family room. Creating a workspace was also vital, and so the workstation occupies 2/3 of the family room .The remaining space hosts a welcoming foyer with storage space and a tea/coffee/wine tasting room for visiting guests.
This home really is Heaven in Kitsilano.
The second floor features a primary bedroom with an open walk-in closet and an ensuite which occupies the back half of the house. The front two bedrooms share a smartly laid-out bathroom. Additionally, the cellar is beautifully designed as a guest space for in-laws or long-term visitors.
This home also features 3000K and 90+ CRI integrated architectural LED and decorative lighting throughout.
We used exterior insulation, peel & stick building wrap for a tight air barrier. Also, high lofty ceilings on the top floor with tilt & turn windows reduce the need for A/C usage.
